Italian home furnishings show Abitare il Tempo devotes over one million square feet to products, experimental exhibitions, and workshops.

The 24th edition of the fair will showcase products in categories including furniture, upholstered furniture, outdoor furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, textiles, carpets, drapes, tableware, decorative accessories, paintings, children’s furniture, floor and wall coverings, doors, stairs, and handles. Twenty-five percent of exhibitors are expected to be from outside Italy.

Highlights include innovative exhibits and the announcement of the Abitare il Tempo award, which honors designers, scholars, industrialists, journalists, retailers and school institutions in Italy and abroad. Italian designer Alessandro Mendini took home the prize in 2007.

The show hosts over 700 exhibitors from 26 different countries. Some 54,000 visitors made the trip, hailing from 97 different countries.

Decosit Brussels is a culmination of four specialized fairs addressing residential and commercial textiles, furnishings, and materials: Decosit, DecoContract, Decotec, Indigo, and Expofil. With one badge, attendees gain access to all.

Decosit focuses on furnishing fabrics; DecoContract on window treatments and wall coverings; Decotec on new materials and techniques; and Indigo and Expofil on textiles for the residential market.

The majority of products are from European manufacturers, nearly 400 exhibit to an international crowd clocking in at over 11,000 visitors. Exhibition will include a luxurious senior residence designed by Belgium’s Axel Enthoven of Enthoven Associates and Hotel Rooms, a hospitality platform decked out in Swarovski crystals.
